Formulation Notes - July 2025
Every few months we revise our formulation to improve the next batch of our products based on the latest research— and feedback from you, our customers.
Here are the latest changes we've made to the July 2025 release of All-in-One Gut Essentials:
1. Increased dose from 10g to 12g | Increasing the dose allows us to include 20% more active, gut-balancing ingredients. We aim to include ingredients at their effective doses - not just write them on the label. |
2. Added L-Glutamine | L-Glutamine is an amino-acid that is the primary fuel source for intestinal tissue cells. It strengthens these cells and the "tight junction" proteins between them, strengthening the intestinal barrier and reducing "leaky gut." |
3. Replaced whole Turmeric powder with Turmeric Root Extract (90% curcuminoids) | The new formulation now has 10 times more curcumin than the previous version. Curcumin is the bioactive compound found in Turmeric that reduces inflammation in the intestinal tissues and feeds good gut bacteria. This is why the new formulation of the All-in-One Gut Essentials is also more yellow than the previous version. |
4. Replaced Fennel Seed powder with Fennel Seed Extract | The new formulation now has 4 times more bioactive compounds (Fenchone and Anethole) than previous version. They are effective at reducing bloating. |
5. Replaced cobalamin with methyl-cobalamin (Vitamin B12) | Methylcobalamin is a more bio-available and more easily-absorbed form of Vitamin B12, especially for people affected by the MTHFR polymorphism (10-15% of the EU population) |
6. Added Folate (Methylfolate) | Folate is essential for DNA synthesis and cell repair - including intestinal epithelial cells. It's also crucial for fetal development. We've included the methylated version for higher bioavailability. |
7. Switched from Magnesium bisglycinate to Magnesium malate | Magnesium malate is also a highly-absorbed form of Mg with a better taste. |
8. Switched from sodium selenite to L-seleno-methionine | L-selenomethionine is easier on the gut than sodium selenite. It also results in fewer reactive oxygen species ("free radicals") being created during its use. It is also more easily eliminated from the body than sodium selenite, reducing the risk of excessive intake. |
9. Switched completely to Tri-calcium citrate (from previous mix with calcium carbonate) | Calcium citrate is more acidic than carbonate, which allows stomach acid to maintain its pH, facilitating smoother digestion. Studies show that calcium citrate is >20% more bioavailable than calcium carbonate. |
